Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Digital Safety Hub teaches people how to protect themselves online, so we hold ourselves to the same standard. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

The short version

We collect as little as we can. We never sell your information. We never ask for your passwords, codes, or bank details. Anything you paste into our free Scam Checker stays on your own device. If you want us to delete your information, just email us.

Who we are

Digital Safety Hub (getdigitalsafetyhub.com) is run by Abinyoh. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means Digital Safety Hub. You can contact us about anything in this policy at nyohn21@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

1. When you visit our website

We use Google Analytics on every page to understand how the site is used, for example which guides people read, how long they stay, what kind of device and browser they use, which country they are visiting from, and how they found us. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this, and it does not store your full IP address. We use these reports to decide which guides to write next and to improve the site.

Our homepage also uses the Meta Pixel from Facebook and Instagram's parent company. It records that you visited, so we can measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram ads, and so our ads can be shown to people who have already visited. It also uses cookies.

Like every website, our hosting company, Netlify, keeps basic technical logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. Our fonts come from Google Fonts, which means your browser fetches them from Google.

Two pages also load code from the services that power them. Our homepage loads MailerLite's sign-up form, which lets MailerLite know the form was shown, even if you don't sign up. Our Pro page loads PayPal's payment button, which connects to PayPal when the page opens, even if you don't subscribe.

2. When you ask for the free Playbook or join our email list

If you sign up on our homepage, we collect your first name and email address. You get the free guide straight away, and by signing up you agree to join our email list, so we can send you a copy of the guide and our safety tips and updates. Our email service is MailerLite, which stores your details for us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.

3. When you buy the Scam-Proof Playbook or the VIP Safety Audit

Purchases are handled by Payhip, our online store. Payhip processes your payment and shares your name, email address, and order details with us so we can deliver your purchase and help you if anything goes wrong, including refunds. We never see your full card number. Payhip's checkout also uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel so we can see when a visit leads to a sale.

4. When you subscribe to Digital Safety Hub Pro

Pro subscriptions are paid through PayPal. PayPal handles your payment and shares your name, email address, and subscription number with us. We add your email to our Pro list in MailerLite so we can send you your monthly Scam Alert reports. We never see your PayPal password or card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your PayPal account.

5. When you book a VIP Safety Audit

The audit takes place over WhatsApp message or voice call. Anything you tell us during the audit is used only to give you your personal safety advice. We will never ask you for passwords, one-time codes, or bank details, and you should never share them with anyone who asks.

6. When you email us

If you email us, for example about a refund or a question, we keep your email and our reply so we can help you and keep a record of what was agreed.

7. When you use the free Scam Checker

The Scam Checker at getdigitalsafetyhub.com/check runs entirely inside your own browser. The text you paste is checked on your device. We do not receive it, send it anywhere, or keep it, and it is cleared as soon as the check runs.

Please do not paste passwords, PINs, one-time codes, card numbers, or ID numbers into the Checker. It does not need them.

8. The Daily Safety Update

The Daily Safety Update on our Pro page is loaded from a Google Sheet. When the page loads it, your browser makes a normal request to Google, as it would for any website. No personal information is sent.

What we never do

Who helps us run the site

We use a small number of trusted services. Each one only gets the information it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy:

ServiceWhat it does for us
GoogleWebsite analytics, fonts, and the Daily Safety Update sheet
MetaMeasuring our Facebook and Instagram ads
MailerLiteOur email list and sign-up form
PayhipOur online store and checkout
PayPalPro subscription payments and the payment button on our Pro page
NetlifyHosting the website
jsDelivrDelivering the Checker's screenshot reader
WhatsAppVIP Safety Audit conversations

Some of these companies are based in, or store information in, other countries, including the United States. They use their own safeguards to protect information when it moves between countries.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our users or ourselves from fraud.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We use them for Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, as described above. MailerLite's sign-up form and PayPal's payment button may also set their own cookies when they load.

The Scam Checker tool itself does not use cookies or save anything. The page it sits on uses Google Analytics like the rest of our site, which counts the visit but never sees what you check.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work. You can also stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits on every website by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.

How long we keep your information

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

Email nyohn21@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, for example in the UK, the European Union, or California, you may have extra rights under your local privacy laws, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority. We will honor these requests for everyone, wherever they live.

Children

Our website and products are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Keeping your information safe

Our website uses a secure connection (https) on every page. Payments are handled by Payhip and PayPal, never on our own site, and we only use well-known services to store your information. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
